What To Wear On Your First Day Back
For most of us students, September is the month where we all move up in the world of education. Whether that be third year, second year or you are a fresher. We all want to make an impression on our first day.
Now I know I am not the only one when I say I struggle with what to wear on my first day, so here is Eat More Cake’s guide of what to wear on your first day back.
If you really want to impress your peers and teachers and get in the ready to work mood, I would say wear a blazer, white top and black skinny jeans with some black pumps. Now I know being a student is tough on the money front, so if you are going to splash out I would splash out on a blazer. It is a timeless classic that can never go out of fashion. Definitely a piece of clothing that you can wear over and over again with a variety of outfits.
If the smart casual look is not your thing when it comes to returning to university and you just want to feel conformable then I would suggest a denim shirt.
You can either where it like is it with the buttons fastened to the top for that denim chique look. If you want to go for a more casual approach then why not wear it as a jacket rather than a shirt. No matter what you are wearing even if it is just a black vest top and black jeans, if you throw that denim shirt on it will complete the casual look you were going for and let’s face it, who has time to fasten all those buttons when you are already running late for university?
You may be sat here reading this article and thinking “I have not got the money nor the time to buy a new outfit for when I go back to university so what am I supposed to do?”
Fear not, we have it covered and here at Eat More Cake we are all about recycling and reusing those outfits that you feel you wear over and over again and it always looks the same. Seriously, that jumper you always wear in the cooler months of the year is starting to look like that is the only thing you own.
We are here to stop that. I recently tried the jumper and skirt look and it didn’t look that bad and totally made my jumper pop. Even if you do not own a skirt, you can buy a floral skirt from almost any charity shop and with your cozy jumper it will look like a completely new outfit. Hey, you may even start a trend and be the fashion queen at school or university!
No matter what you wear, as long as you feel comfortable in it and you are ready to work you will rock that first day back look.
