Pretty Little Liars: The Big -A Revelation [SPOILER ALERT]
The season five finale of Pretty Little Liars aired last night and after watching it this morning I am fuming (as most of you probably are too).
The ‘Big A Reveal’ was not a revelation at all, we know a name – fake or not – but we don’t actually know who ‘Charles’ is.
Faux-revelation aside, the whole episode was beautifully creepy and I loved every second of it.
Being locked in a dollhouse and forced to act like your former selves, when your biggest fear was not being crowned prom queen was pretty clever. It’s a sick kind of torture, forcing one to pretend that everything is perfect.
MONA IS ALIVE, blonde and pretending to be brainwashed into thinking she’s Ali.
I guess that means the body we saw was either the twin theory being put into play and Mona’s twin died (or vice versa), or that she was just drugged and blooded up a little when we saw her in the trunk.
Caleb, Toby and Ezra are definitely not -A and Spencer’s parents know about -A. They all worked together to try and prove to Tanner that -A exists. I think the guys are innocent, but then again Ezra isn’t always with them – I’m just saying, it’s a little strange.
The girls distract -A with a fight while Mona grabbed everything she needed to create the bigger distraction later on at the prom. The prom gave me goosebumps, mannequins are chilling as it is and knowing that somewhere in that crowd is a real person would leave me jumping every time I went near one of them!
It appears that Andrew is working for -A (CALLED IT) and if it turns out that the real -A is a nobody I won’t be impressed.
Detective Tanner actually listened to the guys and Spencer’s parents. They found the van and -A’s empty lair.
When the girls escape ‘Charles’, Spencer finds herself in some sort of private room, which has a projector with home videos on it. This video shows Ali’s mom with her TWO sons and baby Alison in her arms. Charles (-A?) is Ali’s brother and Jason’s Twin?! My other theory is that Detective Holbrook’s real name is Charles and that he is -A (although he has kissed Ali, so if they’re related that’s a little weird).
I think the fact that Ali’s mom had an extra son went right over the girls’ heads because they were focused on escaping.
Their great escape didn’t work out as planned though, as they found themselves outside and surrounded by electric fence.
As the credits soundtrack begins to play, we discover that they are in the middle of nowhere and that -A’s lair and everyone looking for the girls are nowhere near where they are being held hostage.
All in all, the episode was exciting and we did learn some important information, but -A wasn’t exactly revealed like they said he, she or bitch would be.
