Is It OK To Be Vocal During Sex?
There are a plethora of things you just don’t say during lovemaking, which only begs the question: is it OK to be vocal during sex?
If Sex and the City has taught us anything, it’s that a little dialogue during sex is okay – if approached with caution – and more importantly, Samantha’s ‘anything but gentle’ teaching approach.
More often than not, women and men alike find themselves in situations where their sexual partners spur sentences deemed too inappropriate for the bedroom. “You should let me lick your ass” is among these examples.
To really get to the heart… or rather the butt of this piece, I conducted a second Twitter survey, for those brave enough to admit to their coital escapades. Among these brave volunteers came the ever-familiar answer of “Uh, you’re so warm”. Now, as a woman this phrase only makes you think, ‘as opposed to the women you previously courted, whom I can only assume had vagina walls built like a freezer?’.
My point here is, there’s a fine line between getting you off and get off of me. Charlotte Yorke, again of SATC quickly discovered that line when her sexual partner intermittently screamed; “You f*cking bitch… you f*cking whore!” once reaching his climax. It’s safe to say that if crossed, things can get a little sticky.
It seems only fitting to rank the best to worst responses. However, lest we begin with a favourite of mine, a young woman from West London expressed with confidence this interesting tid-bid. “I once told a guy to f*ck me like he hates me, and he laughed at me during sex… the sex was ruined after that”, of course under the right circumstances this female would have left her session of intercourse feeling hated yet satisfied.
Subsequently asking a timeline of people ‘what’s the weirdest thing someone has said to you during sex?” gives you a raft of answers to choose from. Some weird, some wonderful, and some too inappropriate for the Internet!
