We’re always on the look out for writers to contribute to various sections of Eat More Cake. Whether you’re a fashion guru or a tech geek, don’t hesitate to get in touch if you fancy writing for us. Please note, these contributor roles are unpaid.
A bit about EMC:
Eat More Cake is a little over a year old. The website is aimed at 17-23 year olds and covers a range of topics with a focus on society, sex & relationships and mental health.
The writing process:
Our main sections all have section editors who come up with article suggestions each week (for those days when inspiration is just lacking). You submit articles to be edited via the site (built on WordPress) and they are then scheduled to go out (usually within the next few days).
We pride ourselves on the creative freedom of our writers, allowing them to express any views or opinions as long as they can back up their argument. We try to only edit for style and grammar, so you can say what you like (within reason).
Writers are free to write as little/often as they want- we know you have your own life to get on with.
Sounds like your thing? We’d love to hear from you. Drop us a message with a suitable sample article (800 words maximum) and we’ll be in touch!
Please note: If accepted, your sample article will be published. Please make sure it’s original material and has not been posted anywhere else (even a personal blog).
Due to the high number of applications we receive only successful candidates will be contacted (usually within a week).
